Creating a two-dimensional autonomous mapping robot. This robot will be able to be placed in an indoor room, and will collect data from surrounding surfaces and send this information to a computer, which will in turn be analyzed and placed onto a GUI. The user will then have a two-dimensional layout of the room the robot was placed in. This project will be completely open source with instructions on how to reproduce this project along with cost analysis, and documentation.
